GDPR Compliance

How CUF is complying with the GDPR

While the GDPR applies only to data from European residents, we decided to apply it broadly and ensure that our users' privacy is protected regardless of location. We don't restrict any features based on their location as long as certain conditions are met.

Intents of the processing

We are a company that processes publicly available data for informational purposes. Our service users are interested in easier access to already existing information on other businesses, so we also provide this service.

Non-public data

We use a sophisticated system that heavily pseudonymizes data to protect the privacy of our users. Any attributes not needed for the above purposes will be abbreviated and therefore lose valuable information about an individual's identity, only providing enough context so they can't be linked back precisely without further analysis.

Right of deletion

The information we provide is made up of publicly available web data, so when you remove your profile from any website, our services will also stop holding it. However, suppose a user desires to speed up the removal process in indexing. In that case, they can contact us.

Security

The data we manage is being taken very seriously, and our security architecture has been vastly upgraded before the GDPR enforcement. Our processing is done exclusively in the EU All of our data is stored exclusively within the European Union. We even keep off-site backups here as well.

Data Access

The GDPR also allows users to download their data from a service. This will allow them easier access and migration if you move over to other services, which we think is excellent! CUF always has given this feature as well, so it's no surprise that they'll be following suit with what Europe demands now under its new law.
